When we set up your account, simply let us know which option you prefer.
Yes! When an instructor creates their FilmSkills Academic class or course, they can choose from two options:
- Students Pays – enables the credit card processor and requires students to pay for the class or course at the time of enrollment.
- Organization Pays – Students enroll in the class or course for free, and the organization is invoiced for the license.
Instructors can choose an option for each class or course.
When ordering licenses using our Pricing Calculator, there are four choices to make:
- Choose a Product– Choose between the FilmSkills Academic full content license, which includes everything, the High School package, which includes 100 of the introductory lessons, or the Safety Training lessons.
- Number of Student Licenses– Choose the number of students who will be enrolling.
- Licensing Term– Choose a 4-month (1 semester), 8-month (2 semesters), or 12-month license term.
- Choose Your Platform Tier– Whereas the license covers the FilmSkills content, you may want additional platform features to administer and manage the training, such as creating certification programs, managing multiple instructors, authoring your own content, and white label branding.
We understand that every organization functions differently, sometimes with several weeks between semesters. We are flexible and do not count breaks against your license time.
Yes, we offer a complimentary training webinar to show how to use FilmSkills Academic. Your colleagues are all welcome too!
Students Pay for Licenses
Yes. AccuSkills has incorporated Stripe, a leading global credit card processor, to accept payments directly from students for the purchase of your classes and courses.
Yes. If you add your own Stripe account information to your AccuSkills account, then any payments processed will flow directly to your own bank account.
Yes. If you want your students to pay for FilmSkills licenses themselves, we can configure your account so that FilmSkills Academic receives all student payments, eliminating the need for transactions to pass through your organization.
Your organization has its own course catalog page that lists all active and upcoming classes created by your instructors. Students can add the desired classes to their shopping cart. If the class or course is set to charge students, they will be prompted to enter their credit card information. Once accepted, their enrollment is immediate.
No, bulk discounts are only available when your organization purchases licenses.
Organization Pays for Licenses
Yes. We can invoice your organization for the cost of the student licenses instead of charging students directly.
Yes. Once you link your AccuSkills and Stripe accounts, you can set a unique price for each class or course that students must pay to enroll. These funds will be deposited directly into your bank account.
Yes. We are happy to set up your FilmSkills Academic account with only a purchase order. Your instructors and students can all access the curriculum and platform tools.
There are two options:
- Self-enroll through the Course Catalog – Your organization has its own course catalog page, which lists all active and upcoming classes and courses. Students can apply for admission to a class, which requires instructor approval to complete their enrollment.
- Student Manager – If you choose the Silver or Gold platform tiers, you can use the Student Manager to batch create student accounts and auto-enroll students into classes. Students receive an email with their login information.
Yes. We can invoice your bookstore for the desired number of student licenses. FilmSkills Academic does not use codes, so students simply need to provide their instructor with proof of purchase before the instructor approves their enrollment into the FilmSkills class.
No. We do not provide codes for student licenses. The bookstore must provide each student a proof of purchase that students give to the instructor. Upon receipt, the instructor can either add the student to the class or approve the student’s application.
A license covers one student, allowing them to enroll in unlimited classes created by your organization’s instructors during the license period.
No. Unused student licenses do not roll over and are not refundable.
